Abstract
- A recent study conducted at Taipei Veterans General Hospital examined the use of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) as a treatment for anterior cranial fossa (ACF) dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs). A total of 12 patients with ACF DAVFs were treated using SRS, and the study found that SRS appears to be a viable alternative treatment for ACF DAVFs, particularly for patients who are not suitable candidates for surgery or those with an unfavorable angioarchitecture. The majority of patients reported improvements in clinical symptoms, and no post-SRS episodes of intracranial hemorrhage were reported. This research provides valuable insights into the use of SRS for ACF DAVFs. [Extracted from the article]
