Abstract
- A new report discusses research findings on papillary adenocarcinoma, a rare malignant neoplasm that arises from the sweat glands and has metastatic potential. The report highlights the diagnostic challenges in distinguishing papillary adenocarcinoma from benign skin neoplasms. The researchers explored the association between papillary adenocarcinoma and low-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) subtype 42, as well as the possible association with BRAF p. V600E. The study found a stronger association between papillary adenocarcinoma and low-risk HPV than with BRAF p. V600E. Larger studies are needed to further assess the value of detecting these markers in distinguishing papillary adenocarcinoma from other skin neoplasms. [Extracted from the article]
