Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at the University Sains Malaysia highlights the spatial interaction between leptospirosis and enteric fever in Kelantan, Malaysia. The study analyzed the spatial distribution of these diseases and identified potential interactions and intersecting patterns. The findings revealed clustering of both diseases in the northern region, with leptospirosis being more predominant in the south. The study emphasizes the importance of recognizing spatial dependence for accurate diagnosis, timely intervention, and tailored public health strategies. It also suggests the need for multi-disease interventions to address shared risk factors and co-infections in similar geographical contexts. [Extracted from the article]
