Abstract

Researchers from the Medical University of Sofia in Bulgaria conducted a study on the effects of citric acid on stem cells from apical papillae (SCAPs). The study found that citric acid can promote the differentiation of SCAPs and angiogenesis, which is the formation of new blood vessels. The researchers observed different mineralization patterns and changes in the secretion of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the cells treated with citric acid. This research provides valuable insights into the potential applications of citric acid in stem cell research. [Extracted from the article]
