Abstract
- The article explores the role of GLA-3, a homolog of the RNA-binding protein TTP, in stress response in Caenorhabditis elegans germ cells. GLA-3 is found to be important for protecting germ cells from harmful conditions, such as heat shock, by forming stress granules and processing bodies. The study suggests that GLA-3 plays a crucial role in mRNA regulation in the C. elegans germline, highlighting its significance in stress resistance and cell cycle regulation.
