Abstract

A study conducted in Jinan, China from 2021 to 2023 examined the correlation between respiratory infectious diseases, air pollution, and meteorological factors. The research found that pollutants such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and particulate matter were associated with an increased risk of hospitalizations for respiratory diseases. The study concluded that there was a strong positive correlation between air pollutants and respiratory disease hospitalizations in the examined sample. The findings were published in the American Journal of Translational Research and have been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
