Abstract
- The article discusses the role of group II metabotropic glutamate receptors in the basolateral amygdala in inhibiting reward-seeking behavior triggered by discriminative stimuli. The study involved male and female rats self-administering sucrose in response to different stimuli, showing that the receptors play a role in mediating the effects of reward predictive discriminative stimuli. The findings suggest that the activity of these receptors in the amygdala influences conditioned incentive motivational effects. The research is available as a preprint and has not yet undergone peer review. [Extracted from the article]
