Abstract
- A study conducted at University Hospital Zurich in Switzerland focused on assessing urgency in ectopic pregnancies (ECP) by examining the importance of transvaginal sonographic diagnosis of intraabdominal free blood. The research found that free fluid (FF) on transvaginal sonography (TVS) was a significant predictor of urgency in ECP cases. The study concluded that FF assessment on TVS is crucial for determining urgency, although specific cutoff values for low- and high-risk situations still need to be defined. The research was published in Ultraschall in der Medizin - European Journal of Ultrasound and was peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
