Abstract
- A study conducted at the University of Tennessee investigated the activity of cannabinoid type 2 (CB2) receptors in normal and injured kidneys using a genetic mouse model. The research found minimal CB2 promoter activity in both normal and injured kidneys, suggesting that pharmacological manipulation of CB2 receptors may involve their expression in cells recruited to the kidney. This peer-reviewed study provides insights into the role of CB2 receptors in kidney health and injury. [Extracted from the article]
