Abstract

Researchers at Seoul National University have developed a robust and resilient piezoresistive sensor using elongated amyloid fibrils (eAFs) aerogel made of alpha-synuclein and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT). This sensor showed stable pressure sensing capabilities for human motions, airflow, and underwater pressure. The study suggests that this sensor could be used in various applications, including wearable devices and artificial skin development. The research was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
