Abstract
- Researchers at Hangzhou Normal University in China have developed a new strategy for enhancing photodynamic therapy (PDT) by targeting the Golgi apparatus with a photosensitizer called OFBDP. By combining this photosensitizer with a glutaminase inhibitor, they were able to improve the efficacy of PDT for tumor ablation. This study highlights the potential of organelle-targeted PDT to enhance treatment outcomes and contributes to the field of subcellular photosensitizer research. The research was funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province and the Scientific Research Fund of Zhejiang Provincial Education Department. [Extracted from the article]
