Abstract
- Researchers from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine conducted a study on the association between ideal cardiovascular health (CVH) and history of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in women. The study analyzed data from the National Health Examination and Nutrition Survey from 2007-2018 and found that women with higher ideal CVH scores had lower odds of past GDM history. The research highlights the importance of optimizing cardiometabolic health in women with a history of GDM. The study was supported by the American Heart Association and has been peer-reviewed.
