Abstract
- The article discusses the role of the splicing factor kinase, SR protein kinase 1 (SRPK1), in the human papillomavirus (HPV) life cycle. It highlights how SRPK1 is essential for late events in HPV replication and how inhibiting SRPK1 could be a potential therapeutic strategy for HPV infections. The study shows that SRPK1 inhibition leads to changes in gene expression, particularly affecting proteins involved in chromatin conformation, DNA repair, and RNA processing. This research provides valuable insights into the potential development of novel antiviral therapies for HPV infections. [Extracted from the article]
