Abstract
- A recent study from Ningbo University in Zhejiang, China, explores the development of a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogel composite reinforced with bioactive glass particles as a coating for magnesium (Mg) alloy implants. The research findings indicate that this coating significantly enhances corrosion resistance and biocompatibility of the Mg alloy, making it a promising advancement in the field of biodegradable materials for biomedical applications. The study was supported by various funding sources and published in the Journal of Materials Research and Technology.
