Abstract
- Researchers at Wuhan Brain Hospital in Hubei, China, have successfully treated a patient with an intracranial infection caused by extensively drug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (XDRAB) after cranial surgery. The patient received a combination of drugs, including polymyxin B, tigecycline, and amikacin, through intravenous and intrathecal injections, leading to the control and cure of the infection. This study provides valuable insights for the clinical treatment of severe XDRAB intracranial infections, highlighting the effectiveness of the treatment approach used. [Extracted from the article]
