Abstract
- A study conducted by researchers at Brown University explored the relationship between the use of Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARBs) and the prevalence of adhesive capsulitis in patients. The study, which analyzed data from a large national insurance database, found that patients prescribed ARBs had lower rates of newly diagnosed adhesive capsulitis and required less surgical intervention compared to a control group. The findings suggest a potential protective effect of ARBs against the development of adhesive capsulitis, although further investigations are needed to understand the underlying mechanisms. The research was published in the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
