Abstract

A recent study conducted at Wenzhou Medical University in China focused on understanding the genetic and immune cell dynamics in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. The researchers identified key genes and immune cells in SLE patients with EBV infection using machine learning algorithms and differential gene expression analyses. The study highlighted IFI27 as a key gene influencing CD4 CTL and B cell subtypes in SLE patients with EBV infection, providing potential targets for diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. This research enhances the understanding of the molecular mechanisms linking SLE and EBV infection. [Extracted from the article]
