Abstract

A recent study conducted at the Instituto Portugues de Oncologia de Lisboa Francisco Gentil in Lisbon, Portugal, focused on Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC) of the vulva and vagina. The research examined clinicopathologic, immunohistochemical, and molecular characteristics of five cases, revealing similarities with ACCs in other locations but a less common presence of the MYB::NFIB fusion in this context. The study highlighted the importance of further research in understanding this rare neoplasm in the lower female genital tract. [Extracted from the article]
