Abstract

Researchers from Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine have isolated and characterized a novel flavonolignan, along with five known flavonolignan derivatives, from the fruit Cucumis bisexualis for the first time. These compounds were found to exhibit moderate hepatoprotective activity on HepG2 cells. The study was funded by the Chunhui Plan Collaborative Research Project of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the Science and Technology Project of Jiangxi Health Commission. The research has been peer-reviewed and published in Chemistry of Natural Compounds. [Extracted from the article]
