Abstract

The article discusses a study on the effects of time-restricted feeding (TRF) on microglial immunometabolism in obese rats. The research found that TRF during the active phase reduced fat mass, altered the microglial transcriptome, and prevented an increase in hypothalamic microglia in high-fat diet-fed obese rats. However, the study also revealed that TRF did not reverse the HFD-induced microglial immunometabolic phenotype, indicating that further research is needed to understand this persistent cellular functional change in obesity. The preprint has not yet been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
