Abstract

Measuring heart rate is essential for evaluating a patient's health status. Non-contact heart rate measurement offers numerous advantages across various sectors, including medicine, hospital care, and sports, and is particularly valuable in remote medical practices. To serve as an effective alternative to current contact-based heart rate monitoring technologies, non-contact methods must achieve high accuracy, despite the challenge of heart rate variability within short time frames. In this paper, we suggest a camera-based heart rate monitoring system that detects objects using image processing methods such as the Haar cascade classifier. We use the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for analyzing frequency domain heart rate signals. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
