Abstract
- A recent study conducted by the National Institute of Health focused on the molecular investigation of tick-borne pathogens in different regions of Morocco. The research identified various tick species, such as Hyalomma and Rhipicephalus, carrying pathogens like Borrelia turcica and Rickettsia sibirica mongolitimonae, some of which were detected for the first time in Morocco. The study emphasizes the importance of regular surveillance and awareness campaigns to prevent potential health risks associated with these pathogens, particularly in areas where certain tick species are prevalent.
