Researchers from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology conducted a study on the effects of Isothiocyanato-4-methylsulfonylbutane (SFN) on germ cell apoptosis in testicular toxicity induced by Cisplatin (CP). The study involved male and female rats treated with different doses of CP, SFN, and vitamin C for 56 days. The results showed that SFN intervention increased BCL-2 expression, protected sperm chromatin condensation, and decreased sperm DNA fragmentation (SDF) and BAX expression, suggesting that SFN may protect against CP-induced apoptosis.
