Abstract
- A recent study from Ural State Medical University focused on the prognostic value of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) levels in the first trimester for the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in obese pregnant women. The study included 105 obese women, with findings indicating a statistically significant increase in hsCRP concentration in women with GDM compared to those without. The research suggests that an hsCRP concentration above 0.5 mg/l could be a valuable screening tool for identifying early risk of GDM in obese pregnant women. [Extracted from the article]
