Abstract
- A study conducted at the University of Ilorin in Nigeria synthesized a novel mixed ligand Cd(II) complex bearing naproxen and imidazole ligands. The complex exhibited a monoclinic crystal structure and showed high binding affinities with ADP-ribosyltransferase binding component and prostaglandin reductase 2, suggesting potential for treating bacterial infections and inflammation. Additionally, the complex demonstrated promising inhibitory action against certain bacterial and fungal strains, as well as higher radical scavenging activity compared to unbound ligands. The research findings were published in the journal Polyhedron and have been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
