Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University in China explored the role of lipid imbalance and inflammatory oxylipin cascade at the maternal-fetal interface in recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA). The research found elevated concentrations of omega-6 fatty acids and downstream oxylipins in RSA patients, potentially contributing to M1 inflammatory macrophage polarization. These findings provide insights into potential biomarkers for diagnosing and understanding the pathophysiology of RSA. The study was published in Heliyon and can be accessed for free online.
