Abstract

A study conducted at the University of Colorado focused on the use of CRISP modifiers to predict adverse events in adults undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. The study found that a higher CRISP score was associated with an increased risk of adverse events, and the addition of three modifiers (NYHA Class > 2, prior sternotomies > 2, and BMI > 30) improved the prediction of adverse events. The research concluded that the CRISP score, along with adult modifiers, effectively predicted adverse events in adults with congenital heart disease. [Extracted from the article]
