Abstract

A recent study conducted at the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in China explored the relationship between lactate metabolism and mitochondrial function in liver cancer. The researchers identified MRPL3 as a key biomarker and developed a prognostic model, the LMRG model, incorporating three genes: ACACA, MRPL3, and MRPS23. The findings suggest that MRPL3 could serve as a reliable predictive biomarker for diagnosing and treating hepatocellular carcinoma. The study was published in Frontiers in Oncology and offers insights into tumor metabolic reprogramming and potential therapeutic targets for liver cancer. [Extracted from the article]
