Abstract
- A study conducted by Nanjing Medical University in Jiangsu, China, explored the role of asprosin in acute kidney injury induced by cisplatin. Asprosin, a peptide involved in metabolism regulation, was found to promote ferroptosis and damage in kidney cells through iron overload and lipid peroxidation. Silencing asprosin was shown to alleviate renal injury and dysfunction in cisplatin-induced acute kidney injury. This research sheds light on potential therapeutic targets for managing acute kidney injury. [Extracted from the article]
