Abstract
- University of Maryland School of Medicine researchers have conducted a study on how inflammatory disease progression affects nanoparticle biomolecular corona-mediated immune activation profiles. The research highlights the personalized nature of corona formation under dynamic inflammatory conditions and its impact on immune activation profiles and inflammation. The study suggests that disease progression-related alterations in plasma composition can lead to unintended toxicity and altered therapeutic efficacy. The findings were published in Nature Communications and can be accessed for free online. [Extracted from the article]
