Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the National Research Centre in Giza, Egypt, focused on the treatment of hyperhidrosis, a condition characterized by excessive sweating. The study compared the effectiveness of fractional laser-assisted drug delivery of botulinum toxin versus traditional botulinum toxin injections in patients with primary palmar and axillary hyperhidrosis. Results showed a significant decrease in disease severity and improvement in quality of life for patients in both treatment groups. The research concluded that fractional CO2 laser-assisted drug delivery is a safe and minimally invasive procedure that enhances the delivery of botulinum toxin. [Extracted from the article]
