Abstract

A recent study conducted at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nurnberg (FAU) explored the dynamics of CAR T-cells in patients with systemic sclerosis and myositis. The research focused on Hu19-CD828Z, a CAR T-cell therapy designed to deplete B-cells, showing promising results in vitro. The study suggests that this therapy could be a potential treatment strategy for autoimmune diseases like systemic lupus erythematosus, idiopathic inflammatory myositis, and systemic sclerosis.
