Abstract

A recent study conducted at Daegu Catholic University in South Korea focused on establishing an optimal drug delivery system using a hydrogel contact lens with Tretinoin and protein nanoparticles. The research aimed to improve ophthalmic drug delivery systems by analyzing the physical properties of the manufactured lens, including wettability, tensile strength, and drug release. The study found that the contact lens containing Tretinoin and bovine serum albumin using the soak and release method showed superior results compared to other methods, suggesting potential for various applications in ophthalmic medicine.
