Abstract
- A study conducted in the U.S. from 1998 to 2020 analyzed hospitalization data of pediatric patients with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). The research identified an increasing trend in hospitalization rates for NAFLD among pediatric populations and highlighted significant risk factors associated with mortality. Factors such as coagulopathy, age, diabetes, and obesity were found to impact mortality rates, while sex, race/ethnicity, and certain infections were not significantly associated with mortality. Further research is recommended to gather more data on this patient population. [Extracted from the article]
