Long-term Dynamics of Zooplankton of the Desna River.

The article focuses on a research which studied zooplankton of the Desna river from 1866-2001. The main objective of the present work was to analyze long-term dynamics of the structural indices of zooplankton of the Desna river, and also to elucidate the influence of some natural and anthropic factors on their formation. Material for the study included results of the original long-term studies of zooplankton of the Desna river carried out in the main riverbed, in floodplain water bodies, and in the estuaries of the main tributaries.
