Abstract
- This article deals with a study on the value systems and ethical ideologies of media ethics students in the U.S. The number of free-standing media ethics courses in journalism departments increased 56 percent between 1984 and 1993. The majority of students surveyed concluded that conflicts of interest were most problematic among the ethical dilemma posed by their course. The study suggests that course content had the effect of tempering somewhat the idealistic and relativistic tendencies of media-ethics students.
