Abstract
- The article reports that New Jersey-based Atlantic States Cast Iron Pipe Co. decided to cut its mercury emissions. The company is installing a baghouse gas system at its facility to slash mercury emission to one-fifth of its current coutput by January 2006. After the state proclaimed its mercury emission standard, it also passed legislation requiring automotive dismantlers to remove the mercury switches from recycled automobiles. The company allocated a total of $9.3 million for its baghouse.
