Abstract

The article reports on the explosion that occurred at Sago Mine, an International Coal Group owned-mine, in Tallmansville, West Virginia. According to the U.S. Labor Department, the poisonous gas created by the blast had killed 12 miners, causing a delay for the rescuers to save the miners until the gas fully ventilated. Randal McCloy was the only survivor in the explosion.
