Abstract
- This article reports that on opening day, Comerica Park of Detroit, Michigan hopes to unveil a new super suite that will combine nine of the ballpark's existing suites into one that can accommodate 150 people. The baseball team Detroit Tigers plan to sell about 114 club memberships for about $8,000 each, which amounts to about $100 per home game, according to Mike Healy, vice president of park operations for the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers have submitted a request to the Detroit Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Healy made a presentation last Wednesday. Healy said the plan was approved in December by the Detroit/Wayne County Stadium Authority but still must be approved by the DDA under the Comerica Park concession and management agreement between the Tigers and the city and county.
