Abstract

This article focuses on cold fronts. Except hurricanes and other anomalies, no other weather event influences the movement and habits of fish and game as much as a cold front. Scientific studies have found that 50 distinct air masses surround the earth. A few air masses expel rogue cells of high pressure periodically, giving birth to new cold fronts. A front is defined as the line of separation between two different air masses. Cold fronts often result in tornadoes. Sustained high winds from the south or southeast direction during the winter are a definite sign that a front is on the way.
