Abstract

The article discusses some basic considerations in social work with mentally retarded (MR). The four aspects of social work with MR are the more personalized aspects of the worker-client relationship, the use of authority in the case work process, the language of help, and the non-neurotic aspects of parents' reactions to MR. The study concluded that every people have varying degree of conflict around the demands made on each everyone in the areas of dependency.
