Abstract
- The article focuses on the efforts of the Finnish Air Force (FiAF) to create a deployment unit to take part in multinational air operations. Among the responsibilities of the service are airspace surveillance and maintenance of territorial integrity in the air. Changes at FiAF would include the purchase of medium tactical transport aircraft. The service will provide a unit for European crises management activities starting 2010.
