Abstract
- This article examines the paradox that French feminism from the 1970s to the present constitutes itself both in reaction to and in the tradition of the psychoanalytic theory of Jacques Lacan. Exemplary in this regard is the case of author Luce Irigaray. The presence of the Lacanian theory of the subject's sexualization in language in the literary work of Irigaray is discussed. Moreover, this article explores the destabilizing force of this parodical paradox.
