Social Work Groups With Institutionalized Alzheimer's Disease Victims.

Description of group work experience on the Alzheimer's Unit at the Dallas Home for Jewish Aged. It has been found that through this group interaction a greater sense of belonging and togetherness develop that may be more important than the actual content of the group session. Suggestions for dealing with behavior problems, the impact of the environment, the problems with evaluation and two successful groups are discussed with the intent guiding other group leaders in working with this population.
