Abstract
- The article focuses on the architectural design of the refurbished and extended Grand Opera House in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The theatre was designed by Frank Matcham in 1895. The multifunctional Baby Grand studio, which opens up on the foyer area, is the main innovation created by the Arts Team. A contrast between the green and gold of the doors and the orange walls were established by the architect to create a dramatic effect.
