Abstract
- An interview with Eduardo Galeano, a Latin American writer, storyteller, journalist and historian, is presented. He reveals the factors which accounts for the staying power of his book "Open Veins of Latin America." He also explains the reason he opted to labor on behalf of the voiceless instead of having a comfortable life writing for magazines or teaching in universities. Galeano then presents his views on the U.S. attitude toward Latin America. In addition, he explores the issue of injustice of poverty.
