Abstract: The article offers news briefs in Great Britain. The theme "Prevention and Recycling of Waste" is one of the 7 Thematic Strategies in the European Union's 6th Environment Action Program. Chancellor Gordon Brown announced in December 2006 that he wants all new houses built by 2016 to be zero carbon. Novelis Inc., world's largest aluminum can recyclers, have educational resources linked to the national curriculum on its Web site.
