Abstract
- The article presents the author's experience of attending a rowing practice at the Police Rowing Club in Egypt. She describes the river where she and her partner Dina practiced their rowing skills, stating that the Nile river is filthy and full of lead. She relates the reaction of soldiers when they saw her enter the boathouse wearing a pair of shorts and a long-sleeved T-shirt.
