Abstract

A section of the book "Polar Regions: Surviving in Antarctica" is presented. It presents trivial facts about the polar regions and the expedition of polar explorers Liv Arnesen and Ann Bancroft. The Antarctic is considered as a cold desert. Antarctica is much colder than the Arctic. During summer, the sun at the North and South poles never set. Polar explorers Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen trained six hours a day to build up their strength.
