Abstract

The article focuses on c-reactive protein (CRP) as an important indicator and player in inflammatory vascular diseases such as stroke and. According to the article, CRP may be involved in the earliest stages of atherosclerosis, but is unclear on stroke. Research has shown that CRP causes the upregulation of adhesion receptors on intimal endothelial cells.
